q     HULL AND DECK:

 

                         1.     Model – Center Cockpit, Cutter Rig.  Cockpit was “stretched” by over 18” by adding a “plug” to the original mold resulting in a cockpit that could comfortably accommodate 4 adults for dinner or 8 for sailing.

                         2.     Hull - Awlgrip’s dark “Flag Blue” (New November 2002) with white cabin top and cockpit.

                         3.     Decks - Teak (natural finish), toe rail, coaming cap, cabin top handrails and half round (all with 12 coats of high gloss).  All deck lockers (propane, gasoline and lazarette) have custom made flush  hatches with recessed handles.

                         4.     Canvas:

a.       Awning - Full length, Sunbrella “Flag Blue” awning with roll down sides, SS battens and separated at mast (New 1995);

b.      Dodger, Bimini, full cockpit screen and plastic enclosures (Sunbrella - New 1999);

c.       Covers - Complete canvas covers for all hatches, winches, windlass, bimini/dodger boots, gas grill, life raft and outboard motor (Sunbrella - New 1999);

d.      Toe rail cover (Sunbrella – New 1999).

                         5.     Dorade Vents – SS with FRP boxes and SS protection bars on all dorades (7 total of which 3 were additional).

                         6.     Hatches – Ten Lewmar, solar tinted, self supporting with screens for all hatches and ports.

                         7.     Ports – All are opening SS made by Hood with 3 at front of main cabin, 2 in cockpit well (one to master shower and one to galley), 4 in owner’s cabin, 1 in owner’s head and one in galley.

                         8.     Boarding/Swim LadderSS with teak step treads that can be used at either side.

                         9.     Cockpit Table - Oversized teak (collapsible) capable of seating 4 adults for dinner.

                     10.     Bottom finish – Coal tar epoxy barrier coat with Pettit Trinidad red bottom paint.

                     11.     Fuel Lockers - Located outboard and vented overboard - Gasoline (two 6 gal tanks) and LP fuel (two 20lb bottles).

                     12.     Steering Pedestal - SS pedestal, SS Destroyer wheel covered in Elk hide, hooded SS Danforth compass with night lighting, SS Pedestal Guard and 3 Edson instrument pods.

                     13.     Cockpit Instrument Panels:

a.       Starboard Panel - Borge Warner engine instruments and on/off switches for all exterior lighting and deck gear;

b.      Port Panel - NorthStar 800X Loran and space for 2nd VHF radio;

c.       Center Panel - B&G Sailing instruments in forward part of cockpit coaming above companionway hatch with custom exterior stereo speaker cabinets to either side.

                     14.     Ground Tackle:

a.       Double SS anchor bow roller;

b.      Maxwell 3500, reversing windlass with chain gypsy, rope capstan, deck mounted foot switches, helm remote switch, handheld remote and SS Chain Stopper (New 1998);

c.       Primary Anchor: CQR, 66 lb Plow Anchor, 300’of ⅜ BBB chain;

d.      Secondary Anchor: Fortress 55 Danforth style anchor with 300’ of ¾” yacht braid, 25’ of ⅜” HT leader chain and optional storage bag with assembly tools.

                     15.     Misc. - 6 large fenders and abundant dock lines.

q     SPARS, SAIL AND RIGGING:

 

                         1.     Main – Double spreader Hood rig with Hood electric Stoway in mast furling system with dual station controls, SS custom mast collar and storm trysail track.  Two, collapsible work steps installed at masthead.

                         2.     Jib - Harken System 3 furler and Hood 130% Jib with luff pad, reef markers, telltales and sacrificial cover.

                         3.     Staysail – Movable stay using quick release “pelican hook” and “hanked on” Hood 110% Staysail.

                         4.     Spinnaker Pole - Hood, mast mounted on track.

                         5.     Boom Vang - Navtec Hydraulic with control panel (expandable for Hydraulic Backstay Adjuster) located in cockpit beneath helmsman.

                         6.     Winches - All winches are Lewmar 2 speed, self-tailing and include:

a.       2 - # 53 Primaries;

b.      2 - # 43 Secondaries;

c.       1 - # 43 for mainsheet;

d.      1 - # 40 for main outhaul;

e.       1 - # 40 for optional “cockpit led” jib furling;

f.        2 - # 43 mast located on mast for halyard duty;

g.       Anderson SS continuous Line Tender for mainsheet traveler.

                         7.     Winch Master - Electric (12 volt) winch handle, which can conveniently reach all cockpit winches making each a two speed electric winch.

                         8.     Boom Gallows - Custom cut, 3 position with cockpit light.

                         9.     Boom Preventer – Custom with all appropriate tackle.

                     10.     Rope Clutches – Six Lewmar clutches located on mast.

                     11.     Winch Handles – Three Lewmar – 2 single and 1 double handed.

                     12.     Halyards – Main, jib, staysail, spinnaker and 2 extras.

                     13.     Standing Rigging – Appropriately sized 1x19 SS wire with Norseman Terminals at deck level, two (4 to 1 purchase) running backstays with back plated pad eyes for staysail and one SS wire topping lift with blocks.

                     14.     Elk Hyde covered spreader tips and “grab bar” on dodger.

                     15.     Flag halyards from each lower spreader.

                     16.     Lighting arrestor spike and Windex wind direction indicator located at masthead.

q     MECHANICAL:

 

                        1.      Engine - Perkins 4-236, 85 hp, naturally aspirated, marine diesel (Overhauled in Spring of 1994) with Borg Warner 1.91:1 “Velvet Drive” Reduction Gear; Water lift muffler system; Oil containment pan below engine; Prop shaft is 1½" SS.

                        2.      Props – Max 3 bladed, externally adjustable (Installed 1995) plus original 3 blade fixed as spare.

                        3.      Steering – Wagner hydraulic with 3 way diverter valve integrated with hydraulic autopilot.

                         4.     Air Conditioning - Cruisair reverse cycle heating and air conditioning featuring:

a.       Main salon and galley – 16,000 BTUs;

b.      Guest cabin and head – 10,000 BTUs;

c.       Owner’s cabin and head – 10,000 BTUs;

d.      SMX programmable, digital controls in each location;

e.       Compressors located outside of living space in lazarette on “floating shelve” to minimize sound in living spaces;

f.        Spares – Main water pump for compressors.

                        5.                  Engine and Generator Upgrades:

a.       Fuel Filtering – Remote Racor 900 turbine fuel/water separator/filter Primaries for both engine and generator in addition to Secondary filters located on each.  Note: Standard engine mounted filter replaced in 1999 with “quick change” spin on style filter;

b.      Oil Change Pumps - Hand pumps permanently mounted on both engine and generator which drain from the bottom of oil sumps to facilitate changing oil;

c.       Engine Oil – Remote Racor SS filter system with cleaning indicator light, i.e., you never need to change a filter;

d.      Fuel Overflow – Racor Lifeguard Fuel/Air Separators to prevent accidental diesel spills (Installed 1999);

e.       Engine water pump – Installed Speed Seal in 1998 for fast inspection and/or replacement of impeller and remote header “overflow” tank installed;

f.        Spare Parts:

                                                              i.      Generator – Fuel injectors, fan belts, 2 water pumps, air, fuel and oil filters,

                                                             ii.      Engine – Fuel injectors, starter motor, alternator (Balmar 105 amp), heat exchanger, fan belts, air, fuel and oil filters.

q     ELECTRICAL:

 

                         1.     Generator12 kw Northern Lights (Overhauled at 2,200 hrs in August of 2000) 1,800 rpm with remote control panel mounted at Nav Station and available sound shield.

                         2.     Inverters and Battery Chargers:

a.       Heart Freedom 25, 2.5 kw inverter with 120 amp battery charger and Link 2000 remote control system at Nav Station;

b.      Heart HZ 1200, 1.2 kw “pure sine wave” inverter with remote panel;

c.       Lewco 80 amp backup battery charger with remote control at Nav Station.

                         3.     Batteries:

a.       House - Four 8 D gel cells plus one 27 series gel cell located next to anchor windlass (New  May 2001);

b.      Starting – One flooded high cranking amps for engine and one for generator;

c.       Switching – Momentary parallel starting switch as well as emergency cutoff switches for house and starting banks.

                         4.     Alternator - Balmar 200 Amp, dual output with new (May 2001) Balmar MC-612 regulator.

                         5.     Electrical Panel:

a.       Divided into separate AC and DC sections with every item on its own appropriately sized breaker;

b.      Multiple AC and DC amp & volt meters;

c.       Shore/Generator/Inverter selector switches;

d.      Fuel gauges.

                         6.     Shore Power - Two 50 amp, one for house service and one for air conditioning service, located in recessed enclosure at aft end of cockpit coaming.

                         7.     Exterior 110V outlets – one in cockpit and one in lazarette.

                         8.     12V Outlets - Four weatherproof (2 in cockpit, 1 in lazarette and 1 in windlass area) and one at Nav Station.

q     ELECTRONICS:

 

                         1.     Computer – The entire array of following equipment is, and can be, interfaced with most computers (Laptop shown is included). 

                         2.     Auto Pilot - Simrad AP 2002 Auto Pilot (new May 2001) which includes:

a.       AP 20 – Full function display at helm;

b.      AP 22 Control Head at Nav Station;

c.       AP 21 Hand Held Remote for use in cockpit and on deck;

d.      NI – 300 Interface;

e.       DD111 Rudder Angle Indicator;

f.        Mast Head Wind Direction Interface;

g.       Flux Gate Compass;

h.       Spare Hydraulic pump motor. 

                         3.     Radar - Raytheon RL80C (new May 2001), open array, 72 mile, color with MARPA and high speed, repeating flux gate compass.  Unit is mounted on a custom fabricated, high polished, SS stern post with deck floodlight.

                         4.     Sailing Instruments – Brooks & Gatehouse Hydra 2000 (new May 2001)– Main Control unit and Wind Direction meter at Nav Station.  Two 20/20 digital displays with remote buttons (each can display up to 14 different pieces of information), Wind Direction and Wind Speed located in cockpit. 

                         5.     Global Positioning Systems:

a.       Leica MX 400 (new May 2001), flush mounted at both Nav Station and in cockpit with external antenna. (Note: This is the only GPS currently available that duplicates both input and output for multiple locations);

b.      Northstar 952XD Vector DGPS Color Chart System (new May 2001) with external antenna.

c.       Magellan 5000, handheld mounted at Nav Station in removable cradle with stern rail mounted antenna.

                         6.     Navtex Receiver – Furuno Navtex 300 (new May 2001)

                         7.     Radios:

a.       ICOM M127 VHF (new May 2001) radio flush mounted at nav station with masthead antenna;

b.      ICOM M502 (new May 2001) radio flush mounted in cockpit with masthead antenna;

c.       Backstay equipped with Norseman insulators to utilize the backstay as a SSB antenna.  Copper band surrounding hull just below deck for SSB grounding plane.

                         8.     Cell Phone - Motorola analog, high power portable mounted at Nav Station with marine cell phone antenna at masthead.

                         9.     Flo Scan Fuel Totalizer – Digital meter that is interfaced with GPS units and monitors engine   rpms, MPG, GPH and total fuel used since last reset of meter (New 1999).

                     10.     Chart lighting – ApenGlo recessed fixture with selectable white/red light above chart table and one  removable spot fixture with night running feature.

Note: The vessel is pre-wired with high quality stereo speakers in cockpit, main salon and every cabin with individual Niles Audio sound controls at each location.  All components can be remote controlled, stacked in a closable cabinet and are matching black in color.

a.       Main Salon – 20” Panasonic Omni Art color monitor (110v);

b.      Owner’s Cabin – 13” Toshiba MV13K2 (new January 2001)color TV/VCR combination (12v and 110v);

c.       Guest Cabin – 9” Symphonic color TV/VCR combination (12v and 110v);

Note:  The owner’s stateroom, main salon, and guest stateroom, are all pre-wired for cable TV.  The cabinet doors for all TVs are sliding “Tambour” style and all TVs are remote controlled.

                         3.     TV Antennas:

a.       KVH 4 domed satellite tracking system (new May 2001) mounted on “self leveling” Questus mount and housed within a custom made SS protective enclosure at the lower spreaders on mast

b.      Shakespeare’s SeaWatch 2030, power amplified system with a 21” diameter antenna mounted just beneath the KVH antenna.

4.      VCR – Philips/Magnavox VRA631AT 4 head with digital tracking VCR Plus + (New May 2001);

5.      DVD – Aiwa XD-DV170 (new May 2001) 12v and 110v player;

6.      Satellite Receiver – HIRD E25 (new May 2001).

q     PLUMBING:

 

                         1.     HeadsTwo “Quiet Flush”, electric Par heads (New 1999).

                         2.     Wash Down Pumps:

a.       Fresh water – House system with outlet located in recessed compartment with door on outside at rear of coaming;

b.      Salt water – ParMax 4, deck wash down w/strainer accessed by 6” diameter SS threaded deck plate near anchor windlass.

                         3.     Sea Water Strainers – Replaced original Groco sea water strainers on engine, generator, air conditioning and refrigeration pick ups (New 1999 and 2000).

                         4.     Bilge Issues – Grey water from showers and refers drain into a sealed 20 gal sump with automatic overboard discharge via submerged 12v Rule 800 pump and Ultra Junior Pumpswitch.  Backup is provided via manually actuated, 12v Jabsco Macerator pump or manual diaphragm pump.  General bilge water drains into deep well to be pumped out by various auto or manual pumps.  Chain locker drains into sump well via enclosed conduit.

                         5.     Holding Tanks – Two (1 fwd & 1 aft), each with 20 gal capacity, manually actuated 12v Jabsco Macerator pumps and Par 3-way diverter valves for overboard discharge.  Backup pump out is provided via manual diaphragm pump as well as deck plate for “pump out” station.

                         6.     Water Heater - Allcraft SS, 20 gal, 110v water heater with engine heat exchanger (New 2000).

                         7.     Water Maker - Boat is plumbed (water tank fills, manifold, thru hull pickups and discharges) and electrical run to insulated equipment location.

                         8.     Cooking Fuel - LP gas with two 20lb. Aluminum bottles contained in recessed deck locker and vented overboard.
